So That's What Fried Voice Coil Smells Like!

    Ahh!! one minute of a 20hz test tone and the thing's dead! oh well, at least it was only a cheap jensen car sub I was using until my AV15 gets here.....someday

    John hasn't answered my email, and I can't get on the forum, and no tracking number, any news?

    Yea we plug those things into wall outlets when ever we get the chance. 1600 watts @ 60hz..usually melts the voice coil to the motor. The noise it makes while its doing this is quiet amusing.
