Snippet from the Gamespot review:
"To really appreciate how beautiful Rogue Squadron really is, though, you'll have to make some investments: namely a GameCube component cable."
Music to my ears.
This is what I've been saving the component video slot on my television for.
Another small quote:
"While the game seems a bit short at first, you'll find that earning the various medals, uncovering the power-ups for the various craft, discovering the game's special features, and unlocking the bonus levels will keep you hooked."
The complaint about how short the game is... it's a complaint that plagues most next generation games now. I am actually shocked that Gamespot gave RS2 such a positive review. They're usually *very* harsh. Who is Gamespot affiliated with... is it EB?
I played this game for the first time last night, at my local toys r us Kiosk. Overall very positive impressions. There's nothing like flying over the highly detailed and intricate death star surface, watching tie fighters plummet to the surface. The pull down scanner (which cell shades enemies) is a nice touch.
Just an off topic aside.. I was disappointed that the XBox kiosk was not functioning. Apparently it had broken down. Too bad, I was really looking forward to checking it out.
