Just think, after all that pressure at work having to make decisions, be responsible, you can give it up and be assured that for once you'll be taking the orders. I guess this guy can now finally let go.

So she got off because they couldn't find the body or that she was not the cause of death?

If she was not the cause of death then I guess cutting someone up and dumping it in the river is not a crime?

Depending on your location, defiling a corpse is a crime but one, obviously, that doesn't carry the same punishment as murder.

I think the prosecution was out of their minds in pursuing this case. They have no body and the lamest confession I've ever heard of in which the defendent is neither recorded nor is the conversation documented and at best she admits to not getting help for the victim and then disposing of his body. And they thought they would win with this?

I saw on the news the other night that she wanted the police to give back the stuff she used as a dominatrix. I don't know if she got them back or not. The whole story is just a weird one to me.

The guy who died worked for my company and dated a manager in my building, so I'm told.

So many bad jokes, so little time -

police search fish for missing man,
sounds like he went to pieces,
he was bound to end up stiff,
    she whipped him into shape,
good job he died - he would be really cut up if he heard what had happened to him,

    and so on ad nauseum.

Pretty much she got off because they never found a body. For all they know she could be a quack lying about the death and he is off in Las Vegas living under another name. I know, doubtful, but that's the law.

Pretty much you can show up to a police station soaked in blood with a murder weapon in your hand and confess, if they can't find the body you won't be found guilty. Now once they do find a body (even 20 years later) it's game on.

Otherwise, there is no way for them to prove that the 'victim' isn't still alive out there somewhere living under an assumed name.

It's crazy, but that's our system.

Don't think so. They already tried her for that crime and lost. If they had waited...
