My daugther git Snow Dogs from her grand-mother as a gift and it does not play in my Philips DVDR985. It just says no disc after you insert it, I have also had problems with it in my Clarion 925 in the mini van. It plays fine on my Toshiba. Has anyone else had this issue with any other DVD player and Snow Dogs?

    Thanks

Since Snow Dogs is Pan & Scan, and since it's defective, you should take this DVD back to the store, and get your money back. Buy her a different DVD instead. I am sure someone else will be glad to reccomend some kid-freindly DVD's that haven't been cut to peices.

    Hi,

I agree with all of you on the Pan and Scan issue. We just lost a dog that looked like Demon so my duaghter thinks its our dog on the TV and it makes her feel a little better.

Any ways the orignal questions still stands, has any one else had this problem.

All of use on HTF refuse to purchase/rent Snow Dogs because of the Pan and Scan issue. So, we wouldn't know.

What Ken said... even though my Girlfriends 6 year old daughter wants it and Max Keeble, we won't buy them for her because they're P&S'd. It's VERY Sad.

Sorry about your dog by the way.

    Chris.

I'm sorry about your dog. Don't you have a picture of the dog that she can look at?

Sheesh, a little girl happens to like the Snow Dog DVD, and everybody gets their panties all twisted up. [IMG] Give it a rest.
Anyways, Keith, have you tried just exchanging it? I've gotten defective discs before. I dunno if there have been any mastering issues reported with that disc though.

Thanks Eugene, I agree 110% percent. We have had it a while and it works on all my Toshiba players, just not the Philips and Clarion in the MiniVan. I am going to call Disney and see what they have to say.

When you call Disney... tell 'em you're not happy with the P&S presentation too! [IMG]

Keith, P&S slamming aside. Are you sure the DVD is clean and free of dirt, smudges and fingerprints? If the DVD is clean try leaving it in the player as you turn it off. Then turn the player back on while it remains in the player. Your player might read it then. if not your DVD is defective irrespective of PS/WS content.

A friend was housesitting for me. He rented this disc. I asked him if he had had any problems with it playing. He told me he had no problem playing it. My player is a Toshiba.
