I was watching the 12PM CC repeat from the Hartman years, and heres a question.
They had an opening skit with Presidential(?) candidates talking at a Star Trek convention, in order to get the Trekkers to vote for 'em. They where each trying to show how big of a Trek fan they where. Clinton took a different approach and said he wasn't a fan, but a regular watcher. Toward the end, he smashed his podium when he found out that Nimoy was backing one of the other speakers.
Usually they only parody real events. But this seems too stupid a publicity stunt to pull to have actually happened...
Did this thing actually happen?
