I found a link that claims they can show you how to make a small TV into a big TV. How would that work. If anyone know anyting about it, it would be awsome to have some info.
    Thanks!

For your $14.95 or whatever, they send you a lens, probably about 12 inches square. They make it by putting ridges on a sheet of plastic so it is not thick and heavy like a magnifier but it works the same. You may find a similar sheet magnifier lens at Office Max or a similar stationery store.
You put the lens in front of the small TV (also you need to build a box around the whole thing to hold the lens in place and also so the only light that reaches the screen came through the lens). You can project the picture on any ceiling or light colored wall if you don't have a slide projector screen handy.
The picture is quite dim and not really sharp. A simple lens can't focus both the center and corners well at the same time.

If they ship you a fresnel lens, you'd have to use it in a rear projection configuration; otherwise you'd have to modify the TV to flip the image so it isn't backwards when projecting it on a wall.
In any case a standard TV is too dim and lacking in resolution to be blown up much. Sure, you could in theory make a 13" TV into a 27", or a 27" into a 36" this way, but you're not going to get a 100" FP setup from a 27".
You're almost better off getting a set of binoculars and watching your small TV that way! [IMG]
