Small Soldiers - Disc Error? (1 Viewer)

I finally got Small Soldiers on Sunday and I just went to watch it now and when I put it in, it said that it was reading the disc and then it just sat there for a few minutes reading the disc and then it said Disc Error and it ejected the disc.
so I tried to find any scratches or smudges on it and cleaned off what I could and put it back in and it finally went to the main menu then when I tried to play the movie or go to a sub menu it just went to the Toshiba DVD screen. Is the just a problem with this one disc?
or does it not like Toshiba players?

I have a Toshiba SD-3805.

I sort of got it to play now. It goes directly to chapter 5 of title 1, when Allan discovers that the Commandos and wrecked the store.

It's defective. Return it if possible.

Yeah it's probably defected, if it's used then maybe it's a case of this DVD rot I've been hearing about.

I got this movie a while ago and didn't get around
to watching it. I just looked at the disc and I can see
swirl patterns in it. I wonder if Dreamworks has a problem with manufacturing their DVDs. I saw on another
thread that people were having problems with GLADIATOR
(another Dreamworks title).

I got it replaced today and I'm still having the same problem. :frowning:
I'm thinking that the store just got a bad batch.
This is pretty much the first disc where the problem was this bad.

They didn't have anymore and I'd had my fill of trying to get it working. I'll get it again eventually though.
