I think it's more appropriate to post here since I can only think of car LCD panels are generally small in size - about 7" or so.

I have a HT set up in the house and I've always wanted to get a small LCD mounted somewhere to preview video/processor setup/timer recording for PVR, etc. I thought a car LCD would work nicely but not sure what connectors are available? Can I get one with S-Video In? What about power? Can I get an universal wallwart to take care of power? I'm not familar with car stereo at all so I don't know what kind of interface would have.

Thanks for your help,

Simon

Most screens just ava vdio in by rca. Also I'm not shure if a universal wallwart will suppy enough power. I'm not 100% but i'm thinking a screen will have a ground power and remote turn on wire.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your information. If it has a remote trigger, I wonder if it's similar to 12V trigger found in receivers, then I can trigger on/off through my processor.

It would be helpful if I can get one with S-Video In since I don't use composite on any inputs anymore. I'll swing by a car stereo shop and check out what they have.

Thanks,

Simon

Jor the remote turn on just hook it up to a switch and run it to the power wire. Check e-bay for screens, you can get one for under $100.
