Davisdvd.com has scans of the back covers to Paramount's new SE editions of the Jack Ryan films. Listed in the
"special features" box is "Dolby Digital" with the sub-listings of 5.1 English surround, 5.1 DTS surround and French stereo. Shouldn't DTS get its own "bullet point", and not be indicated as a Dolby Digital option?

Another example of a studio's art department not being familiar with their own product. But since it's their first attempt at DTS, I'll cut them some slack and thank them for finally supporting DTS by purchasing them.

    DTS 5.1 in Dolby Digital...now there's a concept! [IMG]

Reminds me of that commercial for some DVD, where they said "In Dolby Digital DTS 5.1!"

Here's hoping the Jack Ryan movies aren't bootlegs! [IMG]

Paramount has always amused me by listing a "Widescreen Version Enhanced for 16:9 TVs" and "Dolby Digital audio" as special features. I'd like to know what Paramount could come up with if they designed window stickers for automobiles... "Includes glass and steering wheel at no extra cost!"

Most of the studios do that. Anyway, it's light years better than Columbia's "Mastered for High Definition" followed by "Full-Screen Presentation". [IMG]

Hey, MY copy of SoAF *already* has DTS. And, according to the helpful ticker on the cover, it is also a "THX DVD-9 SUPERBIT" released by "MIRAMAX STUDIOS." Watch out, though, because it is rated R for "strong, pervasive violence, language, sexuality, and nudity."

Did I mention I hate eBay sellers who lie?
