Just curious about this flick. It's got the incredibely beautiful Laura Prepon in it. Is it a renter or a buyer?

I'd rent it first. It's NOT for everybody's tastes (I think it's very dull), and LP's only in it briefly, IIRC.

We're talking about this title and Laura's involvement in it over at the Weekly Roundup. I started it, I admit. :b I think you, Mike, should read that discussion. I'm almost convinced to buy this film based on what was posted there!

And I posted a nice pic of Laura, too! :D
Shame on me...

Roger Ebert was right on the spot with his comment for this movie when he and Roeper appeared at The Tonight Show a couple of months ago when he stated this:

"Even if you live till you are 107 years old life is too short to see Slackers."

She's in it for only ten minutes.
Slackers is a piece of shit. For the 90 minutes I sat and watched this film, I wanted to hang myself in the theater (if only I had rope). It's not funny at all, it's just awful and disturbing. Everybody involved with the making of this film should be slapped and have their SAG/WGA/DGA/etc. cards taken away from them.
The movie is better than Crossroads and Resident Evil, but it's worse than Impostor and Rollerball. :)
