I recently watched the Sky High trailer online. Looks fun -- sorta like the incredibles and harry potter combined. Has anyone else seen it?

I could have sworn that I posted a thread about this movie some time ago. A search comes up with nothing, tho..

I'm looking forward to this film, BTW. Great trailer, even if it seems like they are giving away most of the film.

    Jason,

    You did!

There also was a very short thread ( [IMG] ) about it in the Other Regions Area.

This could be good/fun or it could be really bad. The foam superhero costumes look pretty bad.

I also did a search before I started this thread. I don't know why the search engine doesn't pull anything up. Sorry about the duplicate.

Anyway, yeah, i agree with you guys, it looks fun. In a time where we're inundated with comic remakes, its sorta nice to have a superhero movie w/ a fresh concept.

oh yeah, and bruce campbell was a major score by the disney team.

I gather Kurt Russell's a fan - supposedly, during the filming of Escape From L.A. (a big Carpenter/Hill/Russell vanity project), he would come up to Campbell and ask him to say "woodshed" or the like.

This movie is Disney totally ripping off Marvel Comics

anyone involved in this film should be ashamed of themselves, get your own ideas!

I'd say its more of a ripoff of PS238.

Still, it looks like the live action movies that Disney used to make.

i agree with you josan - there are more than enough super powers to go around.

The concept for this one's pretty unique acutally. I like the thought of superheroes that go to school.

Latino Review has up these pretty cool character profiles for anyone that's interested in learning more about the super powers

So you have never seen X-Men?

it's all about "super heroes" that go to school, if you haven't seen the 2 movies for X-Men you should check them out

Bridget, read my link above. Not exactly unique.

I disagree with using X-Men as an example, since, in a lot of ways, it is a school in name only.
