    Hi all,

First post, and I really didn't see any category for digital media hubs, so I thought I'd start here. I've recently started checking out products like the SkpiJam digital media networking gear, and it's very intriguing. I don't know if anyone already knows what it does, but basically, a SkipJam "network" will let you stream any media source from a central server to remote terminals, across standard Ethernet protocols.

You can watch a DVD upstairs, when the DVD is actually in your media room. You can stream whole house audio from the Media PC in your A/V rack. Etc. Cool stuff.

I'm wondering if anyone else has seen/felt this stuff and what you think about it. I've seen a few reviews online and they're generally good.

Also, does anyone know of other, similar products?

    Regards,

    Chris

There are tons of solutions for this, from DIY network computers and front ends, to ready-made integrated systems at much much more expensive points. The HTPC section might be best to read about this, especially at AVS.
