Size of room for Speakers... (1 Viewer)

Hey Everyone,
My roomie and I throw occasional parties and as you can guess...I don't want the visitors that are enjoying themselves near my stuff.(Drunk moochers) Anyway, i've decided that until I move out with my g/f I will have my setup in my room. I am on the verge of getting the Ascend 340's (l/r) and am slightly concerned with the size of my room. Anyone know what the minimum room size should be? Maybe I should just get the 170's until i move out and then use them as surrounds when the time comes to upgrade to the 340's? Anyway, thanks for your responses.

P.S. I've already posed the question regarding my room size on the ascend forums, but I feel like I reach more people through this forum.

For a standard bedroom, the CBM-170's would be fine. The CMT-340 has a wider dispertion, and in smaller rooms, wall interaction can be an issue...like with many speakers.

I think it would be best to give Ascend a call and ask the question.
