Being that I have the normal stock version, is it worth it to upgrade to "performance" Vista Series? I mean the DTS is tempting, but the same transfer and same features as my current disc (I know there are a couple of the extras) makes me think it's nothing new. I am leaning towards....that oh so cool looking packaging (packaging always gets me)

This thread discussed this already. DVDfile's spin says it is a new transfer. I checked out my copy last night and if it is a little better, I am sold. I thought the picture was a bit soft.
DTS is a BIG plus for me and the $3 coupon from Pearl Harbor.
    DONE!

Is there even enough sound in the movie to be able to appreciate any kind of difference between the two formats? This is after all a really quite movie.

While this is a really quiet movie, there is a lot of subtle music, and that's when I usually find that DTS really shines. I found that the DTS track here sounded more natural for the musical cues, but other than that there's not a massive difference. However, I love the score in this movie, so it was worth the upgrade to me. Your mileage may vary...
