I am travelling to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur next week on business. I'll be there for a week (probably 2 days in Singapore, the rest in KL) and expect to have 2 full days of business and the rest free.
Anyone have any suggestions for things to see/do there? Any cultural dos/don'ts?
Any advice would be appreciated! :)

Singapore:
No major issues with Singapore as long as you follow the rules, of which there are plenty. Remember the old joke, "Singapore is a fine place ... A fine for litering, a fine for jaywalking, etc." Most of the cultural things in Singapore are nice (temples, museums, the zoo, the aviary, etc). They probably have a better entertainment district than KL.
KL:
I have only been to KL once so I am not sure about the attractions. Since Malaysia is an Islamic country you should dress appropriate to your venue. Bars/discos and such have dress codes requiring slacks and shirts (no shorts). It is generally bad form to eat with your left hand or hand people food with your left hand. As with many countries you should be cautious about going to bad parts of town after dark.
Hope that helps.

Charles, I've been to both places and there pretty nice but somewhat oppressive to their own but not much to visitors. Just remember, in big block letters at the bottom of the visitor card for Singapore it says that the punishment for drug possession is death. Not that you'll be carrying any drugs but be careful.
KL is an interesting city. You'll see the twin towers that were built. One was built by a Korean company and the other by a Japanese company I believe and one of them is 5 feet (or something) shorter than the other even though their supposed to be identical.
Have fun. Its a long trip.
