I am setting up a LCD FP in one room and a Plasma in another. If I buy one STB and connect the component connection to the projector will it simultaneously output video via S-video to the plasma? It would be better to have two component outs but I haven't seen one of these.

This question applies to DVDs as well. Apologies if this is obvious, but I'd rather ask a dumb question than make a mistake!

Oops - sorry, moved to correct forum.

It depends on the STB (and DVD player). Some can output both at the same time and others can't. I have one STB that does (HDTivo) and one that doesn't (Zenith 520).

My Scientific Atlanta 3100 can output component, S-Video and composit all at the same time. I watch the STD channels via the S-Video output, HD channels via the component outputs, and I have the composite video output going directly to my DVD recorder. Everything works like a charm.[IMG]
