I've seen people talking about this for the last 24 hours and I'm confused as to why this is that big of a deal. It's just a (much) longer version of the joke that they had in The Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie episode where Kent Brockman is visiting I&S Studios and you see army guys poking animators with bayonettes to keep them drawing. They said on the commentary for that episode that the crew in Korea was offended by that depiction (because it's far removed from the reality of the studio) and that's likely the same reason why there was a threatened walkout this time.
