I noticed last night when I was watching the three eyed fish episode that some of the subtitles were not disappearing no matter what I set them to. Even when I set them to off, I'd still get the french captions over signs (just not on any of the speech). Anyone else find this?

I watched this episode the other day and did not have that problem at all. I have a Panasonic RP-56.

Yes it does, this time it's Quebec French. Season 1 was regular French, and the voices are quite different. They dubbed this in Spanish too, wish they'd included that.

I just checked again, and it only seems to happen when you change the subtitles on the fly with the subtitle button. If I set it from the menu and leave it, it seems to work fine.

Do you have a Sony DVD player? Both of mine (530D and 715P) have that problem with particular discs. If you press Stop and then Play, the subtitles will stop appearing.
