Just had to shout out about this episode. The trip to canada was classic-Toronto as America,jr.;......Dodgers of foreign wars.........the dollar buying breakfast the next day......plus the 2 viewers watching curling. And more.........Very amusing........what did you Maple leafs think? Everyone else? Reese was in it also...suprised they didn't advertise that. Very good episode.

And let's not forget the commentary on the Itchy & Scratchy DVD. [IMG]
Great episode. I also found that "both of our viewers" joke during the curling match rather amusing.

Did anyone catch Maggie holding a Canadian flag upside down? Thought I saw that, but it was so quick I may have been mistaken.
I loved the characters exiting the bus when they first arrived: Mountie, hockey player, sasquatch... [IMG]

My favourite joke was when Homer jumped into traffic saying, "It's okay Marge! They have free health care here!", and was immedietely sent flying!

These last few weeks have been classic Simpsons if you ask me..

-- Itchy and Scratchy have made 2 triumphant returns

-- Not too much extraneous setup

But tonight, Itchy and Scratchy on DVD had me in tears. And all of Canada was a blast too.

I thought the DVD gag was classic; however, I was disappointed that the bit about Toronto was too brief. Up here, the media was playing up the Canadian angle...they made a big deal about the Simpsons in Toronto - I thought that it would cover the entire episode- not the last 5 minutes. Count me as one of the disappointed- the local media are a bunch of self-promoting jackasses.[IMG]

Luckily an article in yesterday's Toronto Star let on that they were only in Toronto for 5 or 10 minutes so I didn't get my hopes up too high. [IMG]
My favorite part of the episode:
Bart: I'm a 10 year old boy in Toronto. I should be the happiest kid in the world, but I can't stop thinking about Greta.
CN Tower Employee: Oh you'll win her back, eh, and "B" we're closing in five minutes.
Homer: Would a U.S. dollar change your mind?
CN Tower Employee: American currency!! What time would you like your breakfast, sir?

Oh man, this episode was FULL of classic Simpsons goodness.
Cletus: "Mr. Puck, you make the only grub what satisfies my gut worm. I swear."
    Wolfgang Puck: "To the Puckmobile!"
The prep school bullies, as they retreat from their whupping by Bart: "To the Hamptons! Tra-la-la, la-la-la"
Rainer Wolfcastle, inviting Bart to his house: "Come. We play Uno, I chase you with hose. No biggie."
RW in the car: "Laughing time is over."
Homer (at the basketball game): "Ouch, I sat on something sharp."
RW: "Oh, that's just Lara Flynn Boyle."
Homer: "Heh, heh, I have a Boyle on my ass."

I honestly kept thinking "This must be a repeat", it was that good. I loved Rainer Wolfcastle, I hope he gets to be in some more episodes, not just in the little McBain-flicks they watch.

    Great episode.

    " . . . going to send you to the very best university . . . . . . . . . . . . in South Carolina."

"I will not be a Gamecock!!"

Quote might not be perfect, but close.

    Another very good episode.

The Simpsons was pretty funny last night, and hopefully it's going to stay that way, especially with most of the episodes being horrible this season.
    "And where were you?"
    "Awwww.... a cockfight."
    "Bart, I'm going to Toronto."
    "You're going to Spain!?!?!"
