Can anyone recommend a good quality Silver Slim Design A/V Receiver?
The only two I can even think of are the Panasonic SA-XR10 and the Sony STR-SL7.
I don't have any experience with either, but the Panasonic is a fairly unique unit - it uses digital amplification, so it's extremely light and does not throw off heat.
Additionally, JVC makes a couple of fairly slim receivers with built-in DVD players. They are
here and here.
The Tag McLaren AV30R is pretty slim! But the price tag isn't!
Sony makes quite a few, even one with a 5 disc dvd/sacd changer built-in. Those are what sony calls their "Dream System" line and include small satellite/sub speaker sets with them.
Oh yes, I forgot about the Home-theater-in-a-box route.
There are several options if you want to go this route, such as offerings from Kenwood and Yamaha.
