Silly question - How do you pronounce Denon and Marantz? - (1 Viewer)

I've been saying them like this (where capital letters indicate the emphasis):

DEN-awn (pronounced just like the words den and on)

muh-RANTZ

Are these accurate? My friend and I have a bet about this. I don't get a chance to visit the specialty B&M's much, so I don't know that I've ever really heard anybody "in the know" pronounce either of these brands correctly. If anyone has any clarification so I can avoid embarrassing myself, I'd appreciate it. :b Thanks!

Denon is exactly like you said. I'm going into my DEN and turning the lights ON. DEN-ON.

To my knowledge, Marantz is exactly the way you described it as well. Muh-rantz.
