I've been looking for construction material to make an entryway marquee/sign to my theater. It will be placed over my door and attached to a soffit(A/C duct). I wanted lightweight material that could be cut/sanded/painted etc. I finally found it. The product is called Sintra. It can be classified as a PVC type foam board. I purchased a 4' by 8' 6mm sheet for $54.00. That may sound expensive but considering a local sign making company wanted to charge me $750-$1000!!!!, I felt that with a little creativity and elbow grease I'll make my own. I'll post some pics when I'm done. I'm planning on using vinyl(sp) lettering and placing lights all around the edges and some elaborate painting.
