Just want to know, what are the factors that contribute to this annoying "pssst" sound which I think is evident in my system (DENON AVR 1306/DefTech ProCinema 80)?

That is mostly related to the speaker itself, and I would tend to agree that the Pro Cinemas are a bit bright/sybilant.
