shrink those desktop icons!? (1 Viewer)

I know that there is a program out there that can do this. I have a laptop and the resolution is maxed out (1024x768) and I have several shortcuts on my desktop that I need. I know that there are some free downloadable programs out there to clean up the shortcuts and/or shrink them down in size (without setting the resolution higher). Can anybody help?

I'm assuming you're using Windows XP. Right-click on your desktop and choose 'Properties'...then go to the 'Appearance' tab. Click on the 'Advanced' button and for the Item selection, pick 'Icon'. You'll be able to change the size to whatever you want. You might want to play with the icon spacing, also...to bring them closer together if you make them smaller.

Or put your shortcuts on QUICKSTART menu and that will completely clear up your desktop
