I heard on the radio just last week during a Hollywood report that Cameron Diaz is reported to have signed on for both of these sequels for 15 million per film.
Has anyone else heard more on such rumors? I really enjoyed Charlies Angels and would love to see a sequel.
    Peace Out~[IMG]

Seems I saw something on E! about Drew already into the business of the CA sequel like financing, etc.
But in today's "what have we remade lately" H'wood, they both go without saying don't they. [IMG]

Not true for Shrek. USA Today just reported today that DreamWorks' next CGI film is Sharkslayer, an underwater mob film planned for 2004, which will feature the voices of Will Smith, Angelina Jolie and Renee Zellweger. It will compete with Disney and Pixar's own CGI fish tale, Finding Nemo.
Ala Antz and A Bug's Life back in 1998. Let's see who will reign this time.

I wonder if "Charlie's Angles" would all be "acute" since, well, you know... they're all cute. Um, yeah. Dumb geometry joke. Forget I mentioned it.

Diaz is getting $20 million for "Charlie's Angels 2". She's also getting $10 million (as are Mike Myers and Eddie Murphy) for "Shrek 2". DreamWorks is also said to be paying Russell Crowe $10 million for his eventual voice work on the CG animated "Sinbad", with Catherine Zeta-Jones getting $5 million to voice Sinbad's love interest.

"Shrek 2" will be a summer release in either 2003 or 2004. I have no idea when they're doing "Sinbad". From what I've heard the CG project with Will Smith will be a fall release whenever they get it done.

As for "Charlie's Angels 2", Drew Barrymore is getting $15 million, while Lucy Liu is negotiating for a payday of between $10 and $12.5 million.

Bill Murray has to return as Bosley. It just won't be the same without him.

As long as Donkey is going to be in the sequel, I'm there. Oh, and they have to sign Eddie and Fat Bastard to voice the the mains.

20 million for one actor in Charlie's Angels II. Did the first one even net that amount?? [IMG]

"Charlie's Angels" made $125.3 million domestically, $121 million internationally, for a worldwide total of $246 million. The movie also did exceptionally well on home video. The film cost Sony $90 million to make and they ended up making a pretty hefty profit, hence their desire to do a sequel.

I'll add my bank account to Cameron's pay if she dances in her undies again.

Charlie's Angels was a lot better than that whack-ass borefest Citizen Kane!
