Is anyone else's local Blockbuster offering the Shrek/Blockbuster deal? I love that movie for one and was going to buy the dvd anyway, apparently if I buy a 10 week rental card for $25, I get Shrek free on DVD or VHS. Sounds like a deal to me..

Shrek streets Friday but not listed in any of Sundays ads for 10/21/2001. Oh well the Blockbuster deal is probably the best one anyway.

It may be a good deal, but I'd rather give my money to a company that supports OAR.

That rental card is worthless if you can't rent the movies you want in OAR.

If a movie is not available in OAR, than it might as well not be available at all.

Is it worth the price of one DVD to support an organization that doesn't support OAR? Not in my books. Go and buy your own copy and steer clear of Blockbuster.

You all make good points, therefore Blockbuster just lost a sale. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

How bout the following instead of buying that shitty $25 BB card....
    - You can get the Shrek DVD the Friday it comes out at most places for $15 - $20 (not $25 at Blockbuster).
    - Go to your local Kia dealership and you can test drive a Kia and get Shrek for free (on video, I don't know about DVD, but the commercial did say "Shrek coming out to video November 2nd on VHS and DVD," so maybe they're offering the DVD).
