I have a person I work with who bought Shrek 2 off of ebay and it has a DTS track on it. It claims to be region 1 and a NTSC disc. It does have a number 9 on the disc and the cover is different than the one I bought at my local store. Does anyone know where this disc was made. I checked some U.K stores and there is no DTS track on those. Any ideas?
Thanks

Bootleg probably.

The first Shrek had DTS, but not the second.

I had my friend bring the disc in and it does have a DTS soundtrack on it. The dts soundtrack is about 656mb. It's twice the size as the Dolby Digital soundtrack. The disc has all the same extras as the one I bought but it is no where near as big. My disc is about 7.8 gig while this one is right around 4.0 gig. It looks like it's a copy of a PAL Fullscreen version of the movie compressed to fit on a single layer disc. The thing that I don't understand is where the DTS soundtrack came from. Anyone have any ideas?

It's a bootleg. There are many bootlegs with DTS soundtracks as anyone can purchase the DTS encoder.

My Star Wars bootlegs had DTS on them, but they sounded like crap. Guess that is what happens when you shove a Dolby Digital track through a DTS encoder. :)
