Indeed. I probably should have stopped and pulled out my DSLR at that point, but I mostly shot it to send to my wife.

I really liked that first image, too. An amazing quality to it.

We go out there regularly, but the smoldering brush after a controlled burn was pretty unexpected.

I think what I like most is that lone branch arcing between the two groups of trees. Without it, it would seem more conventional.

I shot all of it handheld with long lenses. And I didn't want to use narration or music. I really wanted the sounds to be the music. And the raw footage to tell the story.
