I hope Shout is able to port over the commentary track from the previous Sony DVD release.

Twilight Time used the previous commentary track on their Blu-ray release of USED CARS. It is one of the best tracks ever. Kurt Russell is having a great time revisiting one of his first adult roles.

I missed the Twilight Time Blu-Ray. I’m glad to finally be able to put this in my collection.

I hope that Shout can include the isolated score tracks from the Twilight Time Blu-ray for this release.

I'm glad that those that didn't get TT's wonderful release are going to get a chance to see/own this deeply underrated movie.

I have the TT release. I had the previous dvd release as well. This is one of the funniest movies ever and just about criminally overlooked. It’s also a great film for car buffs. Lots of classic iron out there even if a lot of them are in rough “used car” shape. I always cringe when that 57 Chevy gets destroyed!

I think I'm one of the few persons on this forum that can state they saw this film in a movie theater during its theatrical run. Of course, that movie theater was just about empty with me and maybe 2-3 other people.:) Thankfully, HBO gave it an audience with the latter help of home video.

The commentary track with Zemeckis, Russell and Gale is a great one. Hopefully it will be included on this new release. Shout Factory sometimes produces new interviews too.

I was working at a theater that ran it first run and we were very disappointed in the box office. The trailer had been getting a great response for months, so we were at a loss to explain the film's relatively poor performance for us.

I am also one of those people that saw it in a movie theatre. I also booked many times the film to play as the bottom half of the Drive-in double bills. Some times Used Cars was more popular than the first run top billing. It was a great Drive-in film.

The scene where Gerrit Graham’s character fires shotgun blasts into Roy Fuch’s cars, and blows up the Mercedes is priceless too.

I saw it in the theater too! I was just a kid (all of 13) but this was right up my alley after Animal House. I have the DVD and look forward to upgrading.

Was The Empire Strikes Back still playing in other theaters at the time? That might have been a factor. It's surprising to see how many poorly-received movies outgrossed it.
