should sub crossover hz match hz in bass management setup on pre/pro

    I just purchased a rotel 1098 and am setting up dual front subs .bass management is new to me and i don't know if the setting should match each other.example 80 hz in setup menu for pre/pro, 80hz on dial on back of subs.

    If you are using the crossover on the Rotel (I think you should) you should then disable the crossover on your sub. If it can't be disabled then raise the crossover on the sub as high as possible. To have both engaged would "double filter" the sound resulting in weak output around the crossover range.
