Going to buy a pair of floorstanding speakers for under $600. Should i wait for after christmas sales?

Only you can make that decision. Some people are more patient than others. You are also taking a risk that you will be able to get the speakers that you want. What if they sell out before Christmas?

The way the economy is, there should be some really good pre-Christmas sales. If you don't mind fighting the crowds, the Black Friday sales should be pretty good as well.

The only place around here though is a best buy. So i was hoping to find a good deal on the net.

The day most people find the best prices is "Black Friday", the day after Thanksgiving. Around the end of October or first of November, do a Google search for Black Friday deals. There are sites that tell prices for different businesses. But, there's always the chance that floor standing speakers won't be included in the specials..................

so they will start advertising beginning of november for the day after thanksgiving sale? i can wait a couple months, no big hurry.

If i don't get something on black friday. Is there any better bang for the buck in this price range? ($480 shipped)

I know i can find these speakers cheaper on ebay but i will pay the extra to buy from a good company. So is there anything better than the polks?

Here are a few others to look at. Swan Diva 4.1 $519, PSB T45-$499, T55-$629, AC4L, KEF/Canton/Mourdant-Short.

You missed out on the best deal of them all. A while back, Infinity Beta 40's were closed out @ $179 each shipped. Timing is everything.

Almost forgot. Earlier this year Fry's (in-store) had Infinity Primus 362's for $99 each! Now that was the best deal of them all. Again, timing.
