Should I turn off my sub when not in use? (1 Viewer)

Just wondering. I have a JBL PB12. Someone told me once that some people have trouble with the amp on the sub if you don't turn it off regularly when it is not in use. What you guys think?

Most subs have an auto off feature. Does your JBL have this? I've never had a problem with my sub, but then my sub is less then 1 yr old. :) In the end, do whatever makes you happy. :D

I've asked the same question here. I've got a PB12 as well, and the HK-320, but you can't plug the sub into the back of the 320 where the auto-off would kick in. I've had it for about 3 months, and got tired of reaching behind and turning it off every time I use it. It's been on constantly for about a month now and hasn't given me a problem - knock on wood. I doubt a month is long enough for anything bad to go wrong, but just thought I'd chime in.

I use to turn off my older Velo sub when I owned it.

My newer CHT-12 has auto-turnoff.

I do turn off the amp that powers my passive SVS 25-31CS+ when not in use to save the amp.
