Should I get a DVD recorder? (1 Viewer)

Perhaps you are not using the latest software. I get very good results with ATI's All-In-Wonder Radeon AGP card and their MMC v8.5 software for realtime MPG2 encoding. I use TMPGenc-DVD author which only takes a few minutes to prepare the files prior to DVD burning. The PC allows you to edit and make better menus and combine several titles much more advances than the standalone recorders. I'd say thats worth a few extra minutes.
