So after I bought my new amplifier, it powers my full range speakers at bass frequencies better than my Infinity BU-2 can output. I'm curious what you experts in here think about this crazy idea:

Later on (3-5 years) I'll be getting a massive sub. But for now, what if I got rid of the enclosure for the BU-2, and use the driver and the Infinity amp (100W I think) to create a tube sub? or a larger box? Or some different enclosure. I figure since I like building things in general I could try something out, plus I'm not loosing anything with getting rid of the present BU-2. Do you guys think I can get a general increase in output from a sub I create?

That's what I figured...more complicated then tearing it apart and re-doing the enclosure. Well, thanks anyways :)
