Due in January 27,2004 there will be a release of the new box set:
Star Trek: Original Crew Movie Collection
I have waited so much time to get all these movies in one box set as a Special Edition DVDs.

is this the right one to get ?
-Does it include all the Special Editions?
-Should I buy instead this new release:
    Star Trek - The Motion Pictures Collection (10Films)release date:November 25, 2003
or better wait for possible new Special Edition DVDs for TNG movies ???
please share with me your knowledge [IMG]

I wouldn't buy a box set until all SE's are done.
They seem to be releasing the box every time 1 more SE is released and there are a few more to go! I've been buying indiviually so far. i have II, III, IV, I still need to get TMP, and am putting off V for now. I'm really looking forward to an SE of First Contact!

That box is the right one to get if all you want is the original crew (I don't really count Generations).

Yes, wait. Don't get any box-set until the SE's are done.

January 27 is the release date of ST6 SE though (was on thedigitalbits.com). So I would say that box will include the SE's of all the original six. Wouldn't make sense otherwise.

There is a seperate boxed set for all the TNG movies, and I imagine there will eventually be a seperate boxed set for all the SEs of the TNG movies. So you can:

-wait until the boxed set with SEs of all 10 movies
-buy the original series SE boxed set, and then get the probable future release of the boxed set of just the TNG SEs.

I guess I'll go with buying now the box set of original crew SE DVDs,, & will wait for a separate box set of TNG SE DVDs. it seems the best thing to do,,, thx again :)

Keep in mind that the SE of Star Trek VI does not come out until January, so you may want to hold off until then.

I've never really understood Paramount's rationale for revising the movie boxset each time a new SE comes out. Surely anyone interested enough would know to hold off until all the SEs were out, or alternatively to buy the SEs individually, rather than get saddled with non-SE copies?

yes yes .... so stupid to make a box set each time an SE is out.
and I recommend the guys that purchased those Box sets to get rid of it before the final Box set be released (on Jan. 2004),, that one should be the definitive Box to keep on our shelves...
