I just watched a couple of his very short (5-6’) on YouTube, “Hell Creek” and “Beast of Prey” on youtube. Both had minimal casts, one or two, and a very small crew. However, for as long as they last, they far exceed most of the sci-fi Saturday night specials. I was especially impressed by the actress in “Beast of Prey”. The special effects are excellent, IMHO, and are worth your time. There’s more of his work out there.
It got me to wondering if a guy with very little money can find good actors and produce something this good (yeah, I get they’re short), why can’t sci-fi do better when they’ve got more bucks to spend. I’m always amazed how bad the acting is in the sci-fi movies when I can go to a local repertory theater and see much better actors in Little Rock. They’re out there, they can’t be that expensive, just find them.
