On 10/7 Universal will be re-releasing Wes Craven's Shocker along with their new releases of The People Under the Stairs and The Serpent and the Rainbow.

Does anyone know if this new version of Shocker will be anamorphic widescreen, or is it just a re-packaging of the old non-anamorphic version thats been OOP?

Whoa! I stand corrected! All these years I held off on buying Shocker cause I thought for some reason it was non-anamorphic and since I hadn't seen it in any stores in a long time, I assumed it was out of print. Thanks for the clarification. It looks like the going price for the 3pack will be around $25, so I'll just wait and get them all 3 that way.

Is Serpent & the Rainbow a reissue of the old version too?

If you have multi-region capability, there's a very good anamorphic version of Shocker available in Europe, which has a commentary track by Wes Craven, and a storyboards-to-movie feature, too.
