This happened about a year ago, and was later revealed to be a setup by the arena entertainment people. It was run almost nationwide on news channels, who all bought into the hoax.

Isn't that the exact same story? The date says Feb 23, 2004 and IIRC it was at a Wizard's game and concocted by the marketing department.

Yeah, it looks like the date is from about a year ago.

But THIS one just happened the other day at an Orlando Magic game.

The headline tells that it was a hoax, but at least it's a more recent hoax.
