Sharp LCD Pictue Adjustment Menu (1 Viewer)

My friend has a new Sharp LCD HDTV with a picture adjustment menu that contains all the normal picture adjustment controls plus, "Advanced" and "Reset". Highlighting these items and pressing Enter on the remote [as stated in the operating instructions] does not bring up the menu for each of these items as displayed in the operating manual. How does one enter these two menus?

I have a Sharp LC-26GA5U, HD ready 26" lcd. It has the same menu as yours. On mine, when I scroll down to Advanced it is highlighted in yellow. When I press the Enter button (at the center of the directional buttons, lower part of the remote) the yellow highlight flashes white momentarily and it goes into the advanced menu. That's the only way to get into the advanced picture adjustment menu or to reset the basic controls to factory default.

My set has a "reset" and a "system reset" button on the back of the set near the USB port. The owner's manual covers the function of these two buttons on one of the early pages. Main function of these two buttons is to reset the tv's processor when-if it stops responding properly to the controls. Maybe try looking in the manual for your freind's set to see if it also has these buttons.

Steve; I do just as you say, but the "Advanced" item does not flash and the Advanced menu does not appear. Thanks for the reply
