Shameless season 9 premiered last night.. and back we go with the Gallagher family. This is the last season with Emmy Rossum.

I thought the premiere was okay but that stuff with the PTA meeting was so ridiculous and didn't even really make any sense. It feels like the last few seasons they've run out of stuff to write for the Frank character. As great as Frank is and as great as Macy has been at the role, the show would probably benefit from his departure, or perhaps a much smaller role where he just shows up every few episodes and doesn't have his own story arc.

Didn't know Emmy Rossum was leaving. Surprised they would keep the show going as 9 seasons is more than enough.
