I will be accompanying a friend who lost her husband at the WTC to his office tomorrow to begin the processing of paperwork, benefits, etc. He was an EMT for a hospital(not a city worker) and was in the building at the time of collapse. He had been dispatched there. Does anyone out there know specifically what type of benefits might be available to the widow? They also have a 2 year old daughter. I'm NOT looking for lawsuit type information; but I do wonder about WORKER'S COMP, SOCIAL SECURITY SURVIVOR BENEFITS, COLLEGE AID FOR HIS DAUGHTER, ETC. Any info appreciated. Thank you.
