Still want (but can't afford at the moment):

SCTV SET 4
LOST SEASON 1

There's not too many I want this month. Here's the list I have so far:

Crash
Toy Sory 10th Anniversary Edition
Fraggle Rock Season 1(I loved this as a kid)
Ben-Hur 4 Disc Collector's Edition
Ren & Stimpy Season 5
Mallrats 10th Anniversary Extended Edition
The Outsiders The Complete Novel
Dolls
Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin The Untold Story
Robots

I'll probably add to the list as the month goes by, but those are the main ones I wanted.

If I count what came out on Tuesday than Tommy Boy Holy Schnike Edition and Almost Heroes will be on the list.

Looks like my money is going to stay in the bank. Only title I'm picking up is Titanic.

Here's what's on my planned agenda for September:

Smallville: Season 4
Ben-Hur SE
Battlestar Galactica S1
Star Trek: Enterprise S3
Gladiator: Extended Edition (I know this one's already out, but with my birthday coming up this month I've already hinted to my wife that I want this one, so I should be getting it - yes!)

South Park 6 and Stewie Griffin Untold are my only upcoming purchases. Good thing as I bought 20 in August and the wife is ready to kill me.

September is a slightly heavier than average month for me.

Sting (WS SE)
To Kill a Mockingbird
Ben-Hur
Empire Falls
Battlestar Galactica '04 S1
From the Earth to the Moon
Hogan's Heroes S2

October, on the other hand.... Yeesh...

I was considering getting the BOTD Evil Dead 2, but there's only one new feature, and the packaging, while cool, is totally impractical.

Gas prices have put my purchases to a screeching halt. There are a number of Sep - Dec titles that I am quite interested in, but aside from S1 of The Adventures of Superman and maybe a couple of others plus whatever I buy for Christmas gifts, most releases will have to be put on the back burner to be bought at a later date.

It'll be interesting to see how much DVD sales will be affected by the economic impact caused by Katrina and gas prices.

I'd start biking to work before I let gas get in the way of my movie purchases. :D

I'm hopeless, lol.

Ahh, and I thought my 60 min bus ride too and from work was only good for sleeping!

Of course, the time of the ride does take time out of movie watching time.:D

September is just a warm-up exercise for October for me. But there are some must-own titles I'll be picking up this month:

-The Sting: Legacy Series
-To Kill a Mockingbird: Legacy Series
-Ben-Hur: Four-Disc CE
-Chicago: Razzle Dazzle Edition
-The Brady Bunch: Season 2
-Mallrats: 10th Anniversary
-Mystery Science Theater 3000: Collection 8

Pretty mild month for me compared to October.

I'll be getting The Sting SE this Tuesday. I'll also
buy Cheers season 6 and Taxi season 3. That's it for
this month- the ridiculous gas prices have afected
my purchases to buy what I only have to have, not what
I might want to have.

It certainly changed my buying habits. For me it's Robots, and double dip on Toy Story. I'm close to J&R in lower Manhattan. The only problem is that I have to buy on Tuesday for the absolute cheapest price. Before I would get in the car and drive for about 20 miles to the Best Buy or CC. Now well let's just say Best Buy won't see me for a while.
