I only had experience with the GL-2 and I love the PQ immensely.

You may also want to try the new JVC HD camcorder.

Decided to spend the extra bucks for the 2000 because of it's low light capability.
Just got my two Sony cams dvc2000 and dvc72 in the mail. They were in factory sealed boxes with a full US warranty. And they work fine straight from the box from 6th ave.
OK! The 2000 came with PIXELA and Picture Gear. The 72 came with imagemixer. Do any of these process video for a video burn to a DVD? I also have a $40 coupon off DVD-X MAKER from 321 studios. I am just looking to keep my costs down on software at this point in time. Any suggestion on cheap reliable software for a DVD burn off my HD. I don't intend to do an edit at this point in time. Just burn the raw footage to a DVD.
PS/ The camcorder and camera look like quality products so far.
Also My computer does not have a fire wire input(USB2 only). So Its a new computer or just get a firewire/1384 card.
Thnks guys for all the help!
