Remember Pat is the guy that had a big green sub, a huge roll of Lifesavers, and now some silver monstrosity! I think my idea is pretty tame compared to that.
Also, I'm not talking bright red, I'm talking something like a dark, antique cherry red or something. I guess he could just paint the baffles black.

The low resale value thing is unfortunately kind of intuitive. There generally is no warranty. Further, no matter how one talks them up, nor how good they actually sound, there is a voice in the buyer's head saying "this guy poured his heart and soul into these, and now he's selling them on the cheap. They really must've disappointed him."
