However, I will not patronize a gas station that does not allow me to pay at the pump, because I prefer the convenience.

I'm right with you here. I haven't set foot inside a gas station in years. If I can't pay at the pump, I'll drive around until I run out of gas trying to find some place where I can.

I really like the stations that don't even have a store on the property. Just a bunch of pumps and credit card readers. No weird gas station employees watching over you and no stupid ads on the pumps trying to sell you day old corn dogs...

No one has mentioned that there are many jobs created in manufacturing and servicing these machines in the first place...and they're probably better paying jobs, too.
