Today I bought a used sega dreamcast from the mall for $45 dollars since I couldn't find one anywhere else in my area. They offered a one year warranty for $5 (which states if it breaks within a year Gamestop Inc. will replace with another used unit or if one isn't available, I get store credit).

I noticed now that Amazon sells them for $50 new. Does sega offer any kind of warranty? Because I was wondering if I should return the used one and buy one new, because if mine screws up and they can't replace it I would be stuck with games i couldn't play.

Anyone know how much longer they plan to keep making the DC's?

I don't know that I'd buy a used one for $45 when you can buy a new one for $49.

Amazon does offer the dreamcast for 49.99, but i'm not sure that they have any in stock. you should check that out before returning the used unit. Dreamcasts are really hard to find nowadays and it would prolly get snatched up quickly
