    Hey Art,
I'm no expert on these kinds of DVD, but I thought I'd do a search and help you out.
First off, there's a documentary coming out on April 30th entitled Hyperspace that should be right up your alley. It's hosted by Sam Neill, and it looks like something I'd be interested in checking out!
IMAX seems to have several cool-looking DVDs that might fit the bill, such as
    Space:
    Cosmic Voyage
    Hail Columbia
    The Dream is Alive
    Destiny in Space
    Mission to Mir
    Blue Planet
    Science:
    Genesis
    The Living Sea
A search for "Nova" offers the following:
    To the Moon
    Faster than Sound
    The Miracle of Life
Click here for a listing of Amazon's documentaries on Space Exploration and here for a listing of Science-related DVDs.
    Good luck with your search.

The Cosmos box set is wonderful. The best price I have seen for it is DVD Planet ($127.46). I can't imagine not having the Cosmos discs in my collection. Highly recommended.

I don't know if it's out yet, but the IMAX film Solarmax should be on DVD. It's a pretty good film about the Sun, and it has some truly amazing footage. It also deals with various cultures' ways of regarding the Sun over time so it hits you with astonomy, history and general science all at the same time. Pretty cool stuff, IMO.
