    Every single day I get these attempts to access my system in my router's firewall security log. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Has someone found my computer and are they trying to access it everyday?

    10/16/2003 00:35:43 **Smurf** 0.0.0.0->> 192.168.2.1, Type:0, Code:0 (from LAN Inbound)

    10/16/2003 17:33:03 **SYN Flood to Host** 192.168.2.101, 2147->> 216.66.21.97, 80 (from WAN Outbound)

    Luckily my firewall is up and running and does not return pings.
    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    This happens to everyone all the time. It's just people running scans. Unless you see the same ip doing like 50 different things over the course of several hours it's nothing unusual.

    If you're not running some kind of server or forwarding any ports or anything it's not even worth looking at, really. Unless you're curious.
