Pretty scary stuff. I firmly believe they should have done this demonstration on a closed track:

It's all off the shelf stuff plugged in by removing a few screws and taking the fascia of the dash off.

Want to weaponize this? Get a cellular modem connected to a raspberry pi attached to the network, put the cover back on and you can cause mayhem without the driver ever knowing you are in the loop.

“Okay, now your brakes work again,” Miller says, tapping on a beat-up MacBook connected by a cable to an inconspicuous data port near the parking brake. I reverse out of the weeds and warily bring the car to a stop. “When you lose faith that a car will do what you tell it to do,” he adds after we jump out of the SUV, “it really changes your whole view of how the thing works.”This is like the story to every hitman, spy thriller, and soap opera 20 years ago.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090921073510AAHycZoI'm get scared when they show it can be done remotely, at speed, by script kiddiez. And I might still be more worried about:http://www.bing.com/search?q=throwing+rocks+overpass&form=APIPA1
