Second S-VHS VCR for dubbing tapes (1 Viewer)

Alright, this thread go me thinking that I wouldn't mind having a second SVHS deck for dubbing purposes and for my bedroom. I don't think I need all the cool features of my 7800 in the bedroom, so I may pick a 3900 up for this task. If you were using the two to dub S-VHS cassets which one would you use as source? I sort of think I'd use the 7800 as the source because the signal it outputs should be cleaner.
